Build Quality & Construction Quality

Barska Deep binoculars are highly durable and have a sturdy build that surpasses its competitor making it an ideal pick for boating enthusiasts.

The binoculars are well designed and I love that the caps are attached so you don’t lose them. The batteries install easily to illuminate the compass for night time use. I also loved the focus ability of both eyes instead of the traditional one eye focus, it truly makes them a step above the competition.

Also, they have a comfortable fit with sunglasses/ eyeglasses which people usually wear at daytime marine use. This is due to ample eye relief of 23mm.

Moreover, it has dry-nitrogen purged that makes them the best to use in all weather conditions due to its ability to avert fogging and moisture damage. These can be your best companion even if you are in high humidity conditions.

The O-ring sealed comes with complete water-resistant ability. These binoculars have rugged rubber coating on the outside, which prevents it from damage just in case you drop them.

As they weigh only 38.8 ounces, they can easily float on water that means you are free from the fear of sinking them or damaging them accidentally.

It is designed using a BAK-4, a Porro prism and a top-notch quality optics which comes fully coated providing you with a clear, crisp, and sharp image along with better contrast.

Optical Performance

To get a clearer view, you must have the perfect objective lens size. And that is exactly what these binoculars offer you making it the perfect choice to use in the darker conditions with its objective lens size of 50mm.

Magnification of 7x is another feature that will impress you as it offers unbeatable optics and perfect magnification to have a closer look at the object. You also get to enjoy the clear and stable images with its BAK-4 prisms.

Coming to the optics, these binoculars have exceptional optics suitable for marine observation as it offers clear sights entire day and night. So make sure you make it a part of your upcoming nautical adventure.

These binoculars also have a built-in directional compass that assists you with directions on your adventure. The binoculars are designed to provide close focus distance of up to 9 feet and field view of 395 feet.

Barska Deep Sea 7×50 has all the essential features needed, which makes it the best marine binoculars available for you. The ergonomic design, portability, practicality, and good value for money are what proves it to be the best buy.

Rangefinding Capability & Compass Quality

Barska Deep Sea 7×50 is one of the most vital instruments that you must-have for your nautical trip. But that one thing which makes these binoculars to stand out is its amazingly built-in rangefinder reticle that helps you assess the size and distance of the subject.

Now, I want to make it clear that the range finder is not like one for golf with a red dot and gives you the distance, its more like a scale that is inside the lens and you have to figure out the size and range of the object. So basically, The range-finder feature is not a laser, but requires you to do some math — you will need to know the size of the item you are looking at.

The binoculars offer you a focus of up to the distance of a minimum of 6.8 meters or 22.3 feet.

It also has a digital directional compass that never makes you lose your track while on the sea. The compass is great for determining whether another vessel is on a collision course, or for pointing out an item for another crewmember. You can also, obviously, use the compass for chart triangulation.

It also has 23mm long eye relief. Overall, these binoculars are the right pick to use in an aquatic environment but might not be a suitable choice for your wildlife observation.

  • Tom Dooley says:

Thanks for the reviews. In assessing binoculars for low light use, the jet is a 7mm exit pupil, which corresponds to the average human pupil when it is at full dilation in the dark. This, allows the ey to observe all light that is transmitted by the lenses. So
    7×50
    10×70… Etc
I’m certain that you know to divide the objective lens power by that of the Dia of exit pupil.
